Job Title: Planner / Expediter Company: century box Location: Methuen, MA Description: Planner / Buyer / Expediter (Methuen)FOLDING CARTON EXPERIENCE REQUIRED. Advanced Software (ASI) experience a plus.Century Box, an independent, GROWING, award winning packaging firm is seeking an Planner / Buyer / Expediter at our Methuen, MA facility. Responsibilities include a wide array of general Planning duties. Duties Include:1.        Schedule sheeting, printing (flexo and litho), cutting, and finishing operations to maximize efficiencies and minimize costs.2.        Use and update ASI scheduling system 3.        Communicate effectively to define and understand schedule requirements.4.        Work closely with Plant Manager to insure all scheduled requirements are achieved.5.        Has a thorough understanding of the sequence and interactions between each operation in the facility.6.        Ability to react to changes on production equipment, which will result in reactive and proactive changes to the schedule.7.        Update and provide schedules for sheeting, pre-press, printing presses, die room, cutting presses, and finishing equipment, as well as Supervision/Management.8.        Create weekly backlog report for senior management.9.        Expedite and ensure all RM are received in accordance with the requirements of the production schedule.10.     Recommend crewing of equipment and overtime to manage production flow to meet customer needs.11.     Recommend and lead changes to improve on-time performance.12.     Update Plant Manager and Managing Director of critical delivery complications in a timely manner to facilitate actions needed to resolve issue. Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must understand aspects of essential duty satisfactorily. Must be accurate and precise, be a good communicator, computer proficient, be a problem solver. The individual must be capable of operating without direct supervision. Computer experience required. Must of high school diploma with college degree preferred. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to interact with all processes in this facility as well as communication with suppliers and customers.
