Job Title: LEAD MACHINIST / CNC PROGRAMMER Company: Company Confidential Location: Saco, ME Description: Seeking 1st shift lead in small/mid-size machine shop. Primary responsibility for CNC setup and programming, personnel and machine scheduling, job/cost estimating and inventory/demand planning. Responsible for fabrication/machining of finished parts from customer prints/drawings and fabrication/machining of CNC fixtures and tooling. RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE: Scheduling/Management of 5-10 machinists. Preventive Maintenance and troubleshooting/repair of shop equipment. Develop and maintain operating procedures and quality documentation. Interdepartmental communication. Purchasing/Ordering of tooling and supplies. SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE: High School Diploma or GED required. Vocational/Technical/Associates preferred. CNC Lathe, CNC Mill, and CNC Router programming skills required: Machine code, CAD/CAM, etc. Ability to read, interpret, and program prints/blueprints (DWG/DXF/other/etc) required. Drill press, Bridgeport mills skills/experience required. ProtoTrak, Vert/Horiz Saw, and AutoFeed/TigerStop experience preferred. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Manual dexterity for manipulation of high-precision tooling. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs on a regular basis.
