Elijah Tooling, Inc. the manufacturer of Invert-A-Bolt™ fasteners and related tooling has an immediate opening for a qualified CNC Lathe Machinist to setup and operate multi-axis turret lathes (Citizen FL-42, Tsugami MB38-SY), 1st shift only, 7:00A-3:30P.

Job Duties May Include:

• Set-up lathe(s) by installing and adjusting holding tools, attachments, collets, bushings, inserts etc.
• Verify settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample work pieces.
• Capable of performing complex work, holding close tolerances (+/-.0005) and performing some manual programming such as control and offset changes. The position requires a good understanding of blueprints/drawings and machine tooling. Experience with precision measuring equipment including micrometers, calipers, gages, and other measuring instruments used to perform quality control checks on parts produced.
• Maintains drawing specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, thread turning operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting and reprogramming Mitsubishi 635 or Fanuc 18i controls; sharpening and replacing worn tools; adhering to quality assurance procedures and processes.
• Load / Unload programs using PC interface.
• Maintains safe operations by adhering to safety procedures and regulations.
• Maintains equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements; following manufacturer's instructions; troubleshooting malfunctions; calling for repairs.
• Maintains documentation regarding actions, irregularities, and continuing needs. Create standard operating procedures for this position.
• Accomplishes organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments. May be required to perform some assembly or other tooling related tasks when idle. Job Requirements modified as required.
• Ability to lift 60 lbs. Bar stock and move it to the bar feeder. Ability to operate a forklift. Ability to shovel chips and move to segregated barrels.

Possibilities:
Ultimately, we would like to see the candidate learn Solidworks CAD and Partmaker CAM so that he/she can perform the “end to end” process of creating parts from concept. Also, it will be necessary for the candidate to run more than 1 machine at some point in time.

Many clients throughout the Delaware Valley are seeking 1st, 2nd and 3rd shift CNC Machinists. Qualified candidates need to have experience in a CNC manufacturing facility. Responsibilities include set up and operation of diverse types of equipment used in manufacturing various types of metal instruments within the established manufacturing process, GMP’s, and quality requirements. These are permanent openings with a great benefits packages.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and operation of diverse types of equipment
• Produce parts in accordance with the production plan provided by the manufacturing supervisor
• Equipment used will be lathes, mills, and chuckers, as well as other secondary machines including, but not limited to, various types of grinders, drill presses, jack rabbits, buffers, mass finishers, etc.
• Perform first piece inspection and in-process quality checks

• Great math skills and working knowledge of metrics
• Previous machine shop experience or experience with CNC lathes and mills (3+ years)
• Education and training normally associated with a high school diploma

The successful applicant should have training in the operation of manual lathes, CNC lathes and Milling machines. Additional duties would require assembly and testing of equipment.
