Job Title: Assistant Plant Manager Company: AJM Packaging Corporation Location: Southgate, MI Description: Dynamic, rapidly expanding manufacturer of Converted Paper Products, including paper plates, cups, bowls and bags, is seeking a hard driving “hands on” professional Assistant Plant Manager for our Southgate, MI facility .  Requirements include a Bachelors Degree, preferably in engineering or business, and 5-7 years of FIRST line production management experience along with strong leadership, organizational and administrative skills. This person needs to have extensive experience with implementing Lean Manufacturing Principles, 5S, and Quality procedures on the Plant level. We are looking for a Blue Collar, aggressive, upwardly mobile Manufacturing professionals to work on the floor, with previous experience working with converted paper/corrugated or experience in a high-speed, high-volume production environment with a long-term goal of becoming a Plant Manager for AJM Packaging.  You’ll be responsible and fully accountable for all areas of plant performance/quality including production, inventory, quality control, maintenance, shipping/receiving, warehousing and human resources among others.  The successful candidate will receive a competitive wage, benefits package, and have the security of knowing they won’t be downsized, restructured or re-engineered out during the next automotive downturn.  Don’t delay.
