Position Objective:

Perform hardness testing, tensile testing, charpy v-notch impact testing, collapse testing and heat treating of samples in a muffle furnace and will be responsible for the proper sample preparation methods and techniques for all above mentioned testing.
Will be responsible for the interpretation of different specifications for specimen preparation and testing. The specifications include but are not limited to: ASTM, SAE, AMS, Military and Customer specifications.
On occasion set up operating procedures and programs for machine operators and provide training.
Responsible for maintenance and operation of metallographic equipment in the absence of a metallograhier.
